With vintage cars, "restomod" means restored, but with modifications using modern technology that still retain the spirit and design intent of the original.

With these renderings, I've been experimenting with the idea, "What if industrial designers of the 60's had modern 3D CAD and rendering tools, instead of chaulk, markers and guache?". I'm in the process of taking some well-known design products from the past, modeling and rendering them in 3D (using Modo) using perspectives and levels of detail that would have been hard to achieve when done by hand, and then compositing them to restore the vintage feel.
